If you’re ever passing by on a weekday afternoon and have a few minutes to stop in, stand a third of the way up the aisle, and sing for a bit, do so. The acoustics are incredible. I recommend “Now Thank We, All Our God” in particular.
The worst feature of the church was, prior to his death, the life-size cardboard cutout of Pope Francis in the window of the Rectory across the street. It never stopped startling you when you walked out the main door.
Those things aside, for size and amazing interior decoration, it is certainly one of Pittsburgh’s many parish churches which could be a cathedral in other cities.
