Why should the beautiful die?

Though it was later converted to other uses, this building began as an Odd Fellows lodge built in 1910, as we can see from the inscription at the top and the date on the cornerstone.

This building seems to hover right on the edge of Pareidolia, where the brain wants to see its facade as a face. Is there a term for that? Parapaeidolia? Semipareidolia?

    1. Well, if you want to talk about building pareidolia, over at the Sharon site, we have an article about the Protected Home Circle Building. It was designed by the same Art Deco masters who gave us the Federal Reserve Bank downtown, but recently the cap had to be replaced, and the original decorative brickwork was not duplicated. No matter how hard he tries to look at it sympathetically, the result looks to old Pa Pitt like a monster from a 1980s video game.
