A patch of daffodils may persist indefinitely after it has been planted, so daffodils often mark old homesites. They may also spill downhill from the original planting. This one was blooming in the woods in Beechview along Milo Street, one of those streets that show up on paper but turn out to be stairways through the woods when you get there.
